SORA bridge emergency halt
Guardians use this page to stop every SORA bridge during an attack. The request is written on chain and costs guardians no fee. The chain rejects it from any other account, so for them the button does nothing. Only devops can reopen the bridges.

Halt the bridges
Use the polkadot{.js}, SubWallet or Talisman extension. The Fearless Wallet extension is not offered: it leaked keys in October 2026.
Halt every SORA bridge now? Deposits, withdrawals and relaying stop until devops reopen the bridges.

What a halt does
- Sets the chain's bridge latch. HASHI, BridgeProxy, the bridge channels and apps, the data signer and the multisig verifier then refuse new bridge work, and the HASHI offchain workers stop.
- Does not pause contracts on Ethereum, TON or Liberland. Withdrawals already signed by the bridge can still be redeemed there; pause those contracts separately.
- Has no effect from accounts that are not guardians: the chain rejects the transaction before it reaches a block, so nothing is written and no fee is charged.
- Cannot be undone from this page. Devops reopen the bridges with a Root call (
bridgeHalt.resume).
